With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mathijs van Dijk in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lennart Bosma saved Gemelli FC from getting behind. When Jorn Wolf came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Sassenheim FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jorn Wolf couldn't finish the play. Bertus Zoetmulder took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ricky Reints, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gemelli FC's Lennart Bosma played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jorn Wolf in the 25th minute of play. Mathijs van Dijk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lennart Bosma having to interfere. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mathijs van Dijk to make the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Sassenheim FC's Mathijs van Dijk slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Lennart Bosma. That made the score 0-3 after 96 minutes of play. Sassenheim FC played a much better game than Gemelli FC and deserved their victory. The Gemelli FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
