Bruno Thomasse could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 4th minute of the match, but Koen Wensing made a huge save. 6 minutes into the match, FC DaFuggies's Bruno Thomasse sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Koen Wensing narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 10 minutes Kavelingen's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Herbert Theunissen who took care of the corner kick. FC DaFuggies's Nathan Roordink played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iwan Rijkaard in the 11th minute of play. When Iwan Hulsebos came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Kavelingen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Iwan Hulsebos couldn't finish the play. Bruno Thomasse could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Koen Wensing made a huge save. 22 minutes into the game, Bruno Thomasse cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Koen Wensing was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of Kavelingen booed when FC DaFuggies was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christiaan Craandijk didn't get a good kick on the ball. Steve Fuchs, 26 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 27th minute, Lucien Grasmaaijer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Iwan Hulsebos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Iwan Hulsebos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nathan Roordink having to make a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Iwan Hulsebos in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nathan Roordink saved FC DaFuggies from getting behind. The supporters of Kavelingen booed when FC DaFuggies was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gijs Roodenburg didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Gijs Roodenburg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bruno Thomasse sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Rik Masker charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rik Masker the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 47th match minute, Kavelingen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rik Masker to maneuver through the defense. Koen Wensing showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gijs Roodenburg, who was totally free with the ball in the 49th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gijs Roodenburg was the one to do the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Kavelingen's Iwan Rijkaard slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Nathan Roordink. That made the score 1-1 after 55 minutes of play. Iwan Hulsebos who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 69thth minute tested the skills of Nathan Roordink when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The supporters of Kavelingen booed when FC DaFuggies was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christiaan Craandijk didn't get a good kick on the ball. Corné Lamey charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Corné Lamey the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Nathan Roordink showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iwan Rijkaard, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Nathan Roordink took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iwan Rijkaard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kavelingen's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
