After 3 played minutes Baardwijk V.V. got a freekick which was hit by Carlo Klompe. A collision led to Baardwijk V.V. getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Frits Ostermann hit a great ball. 7 minutes into the match, Baardwijk V.V.'s goal looked a bit too open when Hugo Ottenhof came free, but Mirko Ruben reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Gert Hateboer managed to get in a good position for a shot. Baardwijk V.V.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Gert Hateboer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hette van Rooijen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 21 played minutes, Loet Excelsior's Henk Hoogsteen shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Mirko Ruben came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Loet Excelsior reached it. When the match had gone on for 23 minutes, Carlo Klompe took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Hette van Rooijen to make any attempt to save it. If Carlo Klompe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hugo Ottenhof sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Carlo Klompe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Hette van Rooijen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Carlo Klompe made the kick off in the second half. Mirko Ruben took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kelvin Trenning, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mirko Ruben made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hub Weken in the 56th minute of play. A collision led to Baardwijk V.V. getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Taco van Halst hit a great ball. If Gert Hateboer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Loet Excelsior's Hette van Rooijen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlo Klompe in the 63rd minute of play. Carlo Klompe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Loet Excelsior's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Baardwijk V.V. the free kick. In the 70th match minute, Loet Excelsior was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kelvin Trenning to maneuver through the defense. 3-1 became the score in the 75th minute when Carlo Klompe elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Baardwijk V.V.'s zone, Hub Weken stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mirko Ruben came out of the goal and Hub Weken tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 87th minute, Carlo Klompe got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Hugo Ottenhof had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 94th minute Loet Excelsior were awarded a corner. Johannes van Heiningen went to the cornerflag to take it. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Hub Weken managed to get in a good position for a shot. Loet Excelsior's supporters rose to their feet, but Hub Weken was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mirko Ruben breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the referee ended the match the Baardwijk V.V. players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
