Spectators: 6730 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1730, VIP seats: 0) Bas Geerts made the kick off and thus started the match. In the 4th match minute, Ketel was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bennie Ponk to maneuver through the defense. In the 7th match minute, Ketel was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ferry Reitsma to maneuver through the defense. Koos Brinker took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 8th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Rogier Hofman. Ketel's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Carsten Nedergaard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nigel Kregel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bennie Ponk in the 16th minute of play. After 22 played minutes Lettelbert S.C. got a freekick which was hit by Otto Janus. Guus Huizinga, 23 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. 25 minutes into the match, Lettelbert S.C.'s goalkeeper Nigel Kregel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dave Bas. If Bennie Ponk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dave Bass short, quick shot in the 29thth minute got Nigel Kregel to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 30th minute, Carsten Nedergaard got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 32nd minute Bas Geerts shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rogier Hofman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Bennie Ponk managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ketel's supporters rose to their feet, but Bennie Ponk was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nigel Kregel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bennie Ponk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Nigel Kregel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Lettelbert S.C.'s Nigel Kregel got control of the ball when Dave Bas tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Bennie Ponk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bennie Ponk to make the kick off. Nigel Kregel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bennie Ponk in the 51st minute of the match. Dennis Duin charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dennis Duin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Nigel Kregel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dave Bas in the 54th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Lettelbert S.C. defense, Dave Bas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nigel Kregel. The Lettelbert S.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nigel Kregel should have stopped the shot. In the 60th minute Bas Geerts shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rogier Hofman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nigel Kregel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dave Bas, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Rogier Hofman made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Carsten Nedergaard sent off a good shot on target. 66 minutes into the match, Lettelbert S.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Bennie Ponk came free, but Nigel Kregel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Otto Janus charged in rather forcefully in the 66th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Otto Janus the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dave Bas in the 68th minute of play forced Lettelbert S.C.'s goalkeeper Nigel Kregel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 79th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lettelbert S.C.'s goalkeeper Nigel Kregel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Bennie Ponk might have been able to make a better finish in the 81st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nigel Kregel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bennie Ponk ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 83rd minute, Lettelbert S.C.'s Bas Geerts dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. A collision led to Ketel getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Ferry Reitsma hit a great ball. After taking down the ball on Lettelbert S.C.'s corner Koos Brinker fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Rogier Hofman quite easily take care of the ball. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
