Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Elroy Maurits started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 3 minutes into the game, Elroy Maurits was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tefelen HC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Steggerden the free kick. After a rather tough play, Tefelen HC's Elroy Maurits got a free kick in the 3rd minute. After 5 minutes, Frits Kloppenburg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Steggerden and the Tefelen HC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Elroy Maurits fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ronald Hofman having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Steggerden's zone, Werner Crans stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ronald Hofman came out of the goal and Werner Crans tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Michael Severijnse in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Robin Henselmans saved Tefelen HC from getting behind. In the 14th minute Jasper Hebels shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ronald Hofman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Werner Crans might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ronald Hofman. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Werner Crans ran back to his position shaking his head. Elroy Maurits fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ronald Hofman having to interfere. If Jasper Hebels had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a little luck, Tefelen HC's Robin Henselmans got control of the ball when Sander Hagenouw tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Tefelen HC fans' excitement grew in the 30th match minute when Tefelen HC's Werner Crans looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 33 played minutes Steggerden got a freekick which was hit by Frits Kloppenburg. Jens van der Laan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Tefelen HC's Elroy Maurits in the 42nd minute got a chance for a shot 42nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Steggerden's goalie prevented a goal. Tefelen HC's Werner Crans managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Stijn Oude Kamphuis in the 45 minute of the game. If Werner Crans had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 47 minutes into the match, Steggerden's goal looked a bit too open when Bennie Baars came free, but Ronald Hofman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Michael Severijnse stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 57th minute Michael Severijnse shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robin Henselmans saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Jasper Hebels had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Frits Kloppenburg kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Steggerden's Ronald Hofman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elroy Maurits in the 66th minute of play. Elroy Maurits struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Ronald Hofman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tefelen HC. Ronald Hofman stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Werner Crans's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. After 75 played minutes Tefelen HC got a freekick which was hit by Ed Jonker. After some careless play in the Steggerden defense, Jasper Hebels kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ronald Hofman. The Steggerden fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ronald Hofman should have stopped the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Elroy Maurits got free with Ronald Hofman in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 83 played minutes Steggerden got a freekick which was hit by Frits Kloppenburg. In the 89th minute, Dimitrie Deuring hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tefelen HC's Robin Henselmans played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Michael Severijnse in the 91st minute of play. In the 92nd minute, Sander Hagenouw got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Steggerden fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Tefelen HC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
