Benjamin Schokkenbroek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 20th minute, Iwan Rinzema hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aalzum FC's Cobus van Dongen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Giovanni Spoel in the 22nd minute of play. Abraham Dilling received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Cobus van Dongen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Abraham Dilling could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Cobus van Dongen made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Abraham Dilling managed to get in a good position for a shot. Leekster FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Abraham Dilling was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cobus van Dongen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Giovanni Spoel blasted a shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cobus van Dongen having to make a save. Harald Brandsma sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cobus van Dongen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sjors Zorge, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. 44 minutes into the match, Aalzum FC's goal looked a bit too open when Domenik Bernard came free, but Cobus van Dongen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Abraham Dilling could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Cobus van Dongen made a huge save. Cobus van Dongen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Iwan Rinzema in the 47th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The wind increased when Benjamin Schokkenbroek made the kick off in the second half. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Leekster FC fully deserved thier win.
