Vossendaal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marinus Wielaert was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Henk Sloothaak sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Henk-Jan Veentjer hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Hendrik Collen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henk Sloothaak in the 42nd minute of play. Henk Sloothaak recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 49th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Henk Sloothaak stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Henk Sloothaak might have been able to make a better finish in the 58th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hendrik Collen. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Henk Sloothaak ran back to his position shaking his head. Frits de Gooijer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jan Meijer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nico Meier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Frits de Gooijer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nico Meier's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Frits de Gooijer read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. Nico Meier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Frits de Gooijer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Koen van der Schans sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Chris Buskermolen's late challenge caught a Vossendaal's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Chris Buskermolen helped the player get up and apologised. If Marinus Wielaert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hendrik Collen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Henk-Jan Veentjer in the 73rd minute of the match. Marinus Wielaert sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Marinus Wielaert came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Vossendaal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marinus Wielaert couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gijsbert Deijnen during the 84th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Vossendaal booed when Einighausen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gijsbert Deijnen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bastiaan Joppets recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hendrik Collen made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Marinus Wielaert sent off a good shot on target. Bastiaan Joppets struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Hendrik Collen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vossendaal. After a defensive mix-up in Einighausen's zone, Marinus Wielaert stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hendrik Collen came out of the goal and Marinus Wielaert tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jan Niemeyer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
