Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Marnix Krommert started the match with the kick off. 2 minutes into the game, Jelmer Pals was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Molen FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kloetinge Asg the free kick. In the 3rd match minute, Molen FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jelmer Pals to maneuver through the defense. In the 3rd minute of the match Youri Hofsteenge shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Niels-Jan Schattenberg showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 5th minute, Frank Joppets ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Derk Elst was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 8th match minute, Kloetinge Asg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maurice de Witte to maneuver through the defense. Derk Elst made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marnix Krommert in the 9th minute of play. Niels-Jan Schattenberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Martin Haken, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ralph Stekelenburg in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Niels-Jan Schattenberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jelmer Pals hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. After 17 played minutes, Kloetinge Asg's Erik de Zee shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Niels-Jan Schattenberg came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Kloetinge Asg reached it. Ralph Stekelenburg did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-1 to the left of a surprised Niels-Jan Schattenberg 19 minutes into the match. 25 minutes into the game, Kloetinge Asg's Ralph Stekelenburg nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Niels-Jan Schattenberg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Niels-Jan Schattenberg acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 30th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Nathan Hansma. Derk Elst showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marnix Krommert, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. In the 33rd minute, Martin Haken got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 41st minute Maurice de Witte shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Niels-Jan Schattenberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 45th minute the ball was on its way in behind Molen FC's goalkeeper Niels-Jan Schattenberg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ralph Stekelenburg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Niels-Jan Schattenberg having to interfere. 48 minutes into the game, Nathan Hansma was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kloetinge Asg's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Molen FC the free kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 47th minute of the game. One of Kloetinge Asg:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Molen FC:s goal.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ralph Stekelenburg stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Maurice de Witte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ralph Stekelenburg in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Niels-Jan Schattenberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 58 minutes into the match, Molen FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ralph Stekelenburg came free, but Niels-Jan Schattenberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ralph Stekelenburg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Niels-Jan Schattenberg having to interfere. When Meindert van Zwam came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Kloetinge Asg fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Meindert van Zwam couldn't finish the play. Martin Haken fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Niels-Jan Schattenberg having to interfere. When Ralph Stekelenburg got free in front of the goal in the 71st minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Niels-Jan Schattenberg was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Meindert van Zwam fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Niels-Jan Schattenberg having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Heiko Moorlag in the 74th minute of play forced Molen FC's goalkeeper Niels-Jan Schattenberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 75thth minute of the game Ralph Stekelenburg who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Molen FC's Niels-Jan Schattenberg was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ralph Stekelenburg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 81 minutes into the match, Heiko Moorlag notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Molen FC's Niels-Jan Schattenberg. Niels-Jan Schattenberg was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Frank Joppets came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Molen FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Frank Joppets couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ralph Stekelenburg in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Niels-Jan Schattenberg saved Molen FC from getting behind. John Haan charged in rather forcefully in the 91st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed John Haan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Molen FC getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. John Haan hit a great ball. If Ralph Stekelenburg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 98th minute, Ralph Stekelenburg left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Kloetinge Asg fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-1.
