Vincent van Rhijn could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Gerald Latten made a huge save. Gerrit Spanjer took the ball and in the 13 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Auke Rodenberg. Auke Rodenberg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Bram Klaus charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bram Klaus the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Bram Klaus kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Honselerdijk Eendracht's Auke Rodenberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Boudewijn Groten in the 20th minute of play. A collision led to Slenken getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Jef Lute hit a great ball. In the 35th minute Evert Bok shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gerald Latten saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 38 minutes, Evert Bok mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Honselerdijk Eendracht and the Slenken players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 38 played minutes Honselerdijk Eendracht got a freekick which was hit by Evert Bok. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Gerald Latten showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Evert Bok, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. In the 67th minute, Slenken's Boudewijn Groten ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Auke Rodenberg. Auke Rodenberg yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. Boudewijn Groten did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-3 to the left of a surprised Auke Rodenberg 71 minutes into the match. Riemer Bessing hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. 81 minutes into the match, Boudewijn Groten dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Auke Rodenberg, 0-4. In the 85th minute Bram Melis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gerald Latten saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Slenken's Boudewijn Groten slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Auke Rodenberg. That made the score 0-5 after 87 minutes of play. Boudewijn Groten scored 0-6 in the 95th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Auke Rodenberg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the final whistle sounded Slenken left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Honselerdijk Eendracht.
