After a defensive mix-up in Peizerhorst's zone, Herbert Severijnse stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ronald Erenstein's late challenge caught a Gingerville's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Anthony Beerthuis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Ted Franssen came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Peizerhorst fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ted Franssen couldn't finish the play. Peizerhorst's Ted Franssen got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Robbie Bruin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ted Franssen made a kick off. The audience was convinced that Giel van Rhijn's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Douwe Klijnstra was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. Herbert Severijnse blasted a shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Anthony Beerthuis having to make a save. If Herbert Severijnse had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 67th minute, Herbert Severijnse ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Anthony Beerthuis was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Herbert Severijnse showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. Giel van Rhijn recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Gingerville getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Emile Oosterbaan hit a great ball. In the 81st minute, Giel van Rhijn got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ted Franssen in the 87th minute of play forced Gingerville's goalkeeper Douwe Klijnstra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Robbie Bruin fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick.
