Spectators: 6704 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1704, VIP seats: 0) Ralf Abbekerk made the kick off and thus started the match. In the 5th match minute, Katerveer was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vincent Decheiver to maneuver through the defense. Yorrick Zandee did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Dirk-Jan Hofman 17 minutes into the match. 22 minutes into the match, Katerveer's goal looked a bit too open when Alexander van Fessum came free, but Ab Vaalman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 22 played minutes Katerveer got a freekick which was hit by Vincent Gerfen. Ate Braamhaar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ralf Abbekerk struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Dirk-Jan Hofman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Katerveer. In the 34th minute Ate Braamhaar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ab Vaalman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 37th minute, Alexander van Fessum got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Katerveer's Ralf Abbekerk in the 39th minute got a chance for a shot 39th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC Phoenix's goalie prevented a goal. Ralf Abbekerk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dirk-Jan Hofman having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ralf Abbekerk in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dirk-Jan Hofman saved FC Phoenix from getting behind. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The wind increased when Ate Braamhaar made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of FC Phoenix booed when Katerveer was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jurgen Schie didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dirk-Jan Hofman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yorrick Zandee, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Ate Braamhaar managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Phoenix's supporters rose to their feet, but Ate Braamhaar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ab Vaalman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alexander van Fessum fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ab Vaalman having to interfere. Vincent Decheiver hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. During the 75th minute of the match Vincent Decheiver completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Vincent Decheiver a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. A collision led to Katerveer getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Vincent Decheiver hit a great ball. After 78 minutes, Joep Elshot mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Phoenix and the Katerveer players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 78th minute, Joep Elshot hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Yorrick Zandee sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Filip Bogarde received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Dirk-Jan Hofman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match clock showed 88 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Filip Bogarde sped through FC Phoenix's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Dirk-Jan Hofman. FC Phoenix's Alexander van Fessum got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Katerveer had won after a very even match.
