After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Sjaak Nieuwendijk managed to get in a good position for a shot. In the 31st minute Raymond de Vries shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daan Wit saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 46th minute, Sjaak Nieuwendijk ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dries Ekelhoff was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1.

The wind increased when Rafael van der Saar made the kick off in the second half. Roosdaal Sport's supporters crossed their fingers, but Barry Platvoet was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Raymond de Vries in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Daan Wit saved Opeinde SV from getting behind. Benjamin de Groot's late challenge caught a Roosdaal Sport's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Benjamin de Groot helped the player get up and apologised. After 80 played minutes Opeinde SV got a freekick which was hit by Benjamin de Groot. In the 83rd minute, Raymond de Vries ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Daan Wit was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. A collision led to Roosdaal Sport getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Luuk Schuttrup hit a great ball.
