Spectators: 6816 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1716, VIP seats: 100) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Mathieu den Hartog started the match with the kick off. Raymond de Vries received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Roger Hooiveld tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 11th minute Mathieu den Hartog shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dries Ekelhoff saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Roger Hooiveld made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Barry Platvoet in the 12th minute of play. A collision led to Schooteind getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Kees Brinks hit a great ball. Roosdaal Sport's defense didn't have a chance, in the 17th minute, when Mathieu den Hartog scored to the left of an out of position Dries Ekelhoff, making the score, 1-0. In the 20th minute, Daniel Meertens fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Dries Ekelhoff, passed just outside the right post. Roger Hooiveld didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Barry Platvoet went, in the 28th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Freek Ax during the 36th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 37 played minutes Schooteind got a freekick which was hit by Freek Ax. In the 38th minute, Raymond de Vries ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Roger Hooiveld was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Dries Ekelhoff took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Meertens, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

Daniel Meertens blasted a shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dries Ekelhoff having to make a save. Mathieu den Hartog fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dries Ekelhoff having to interfere. The supporters of Schooteind booed when Roosdaal Sport was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dennis Zeijlemaker didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 67 minutes, Raymond de Vries managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Roosdaal Sport's supporters crossed their fingers, but Raymond de Vries was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Roger Hooiveld took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raymond de Vries, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 76th minute, Tjeerd Zwaanswijk hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mathieu den Hartog in the 83rd minute of play forced Roosdaal Sport's goalkeeper Dries Ekelhoff to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tjeerd Zwaanswijk lost his temper 87 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 86th minute, one of Schooteind:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Schooteind. The goalkeeper, Roger Hooiveld, was totally fooled by Roosdaal Sport's Michel Meijer, who 89 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Barry Platvoet might have been able to make a better finish in the 96th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Roger Hooiveld. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Barry Platvoet ran back to his position shaking his head. The crowd rose to their feet as Roosdaal Sport's Raymond de Vries slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Roger Hooiveld. That made the score 1-4 after 96 minutes of play. The Roosdaal Sport players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
