Spectators: 7432 (Terracing: 5575, Seating: 1709, VIP seats: 148) After a defensive mix-up in Telgt's zone, Felix Seedorf stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rudolf Ubels came out of the goal and Felix Seedorf tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Frits Boeve made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jurre Platvoet in the 10th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Telgt's Jurre Platvoet got a free kick in the 15th minute. 20 minutes into the match, Jurre Platvoet notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of PEC Zwolle's Frits Boeve. Frits Boeve was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Kristof Hansmas short, quick shot in the 24thth minute got Rudolf Ubels to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Frits Boeve took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Oevermans, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 28th minute, Arjan van Zijderveld ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Frits Boeve was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Felix Seedorf sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kristof Hansma's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 35thth minute, Rudolf Ubels skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 37th match minute, Telgt was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jurre Platvoet to maneuver through the defense. Frits Boeve made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Oevermans in the 39th minute of play. PEC Zwolle's Frits Boeve played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arjan van Zijderveld in the 41st minute of play. In the 42nd minute Arjan van Zijderveld shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frits Boeve saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Kristof Hansma managed to get in a good position for a shot. PEC Zwolle's supporters rose to their feet, but Kristof Hansma was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rudolf Ubels breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jim Timmer lost his temper 44 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 45th match minute, PEC Zwolle was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jim Timmer to maneuver through the defense.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Kristof Hansma to make the kick off. Arjan van Zijderveld could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 51st minute of the match, but Frits Boeve made a huge save. In the 58th minute, Jurre Platvoet left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Telgt fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. Kristof Hansma recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of PEC Zwolle booed when Telgt was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jurre Platvoet didn't get a good kick on the ball. Stijn Haydon hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. 66 minutes into the match, Kristof Hansma had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rudolf Ubels. Telgt's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kristof Hansma was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. Kristof Hansma took the ball and in the 72 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rudolf Ubels. Rudolf Ubels dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-4. Frits Boeve made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Oevermans in the 76th minute of play. Kristof Hansma received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Rudolf Ubels tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. PEC Zwolle's Kristof Hansma got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Karsten Lokin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Telgt's Casper Molnar got a free kick in the 84th minute. Stijn Haydon didn't quite understand what happened when in the 86 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. Kristof Hansma sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 92 played minutes Telgt got a freekick which was hit by Jurre Platvoet. If Kristof Hansma had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Telgt's Daniel Oevermans got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Telgt had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
