Spectators: 7431 (Terracing: 5574, Seating: 1709, VIP seats: 148) FC Dord's Jef Kroeze started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Jef Kroeze recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sipke Konterman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rob van Dartel having to interfere. The supporters of FC Dord booed when FC Uiteinde was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mart Diest didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jef Kroeze took the ball and in the 14 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rob van Dartel. Rob van Dartel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Dennis Akkerboom hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Tonny Heuving could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Steven de Freitas made a huge save. 21 minutes into the match, FC Dord's goalkeeper Steven de Freitas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tonny Heuving. With a little luck, FC Dord's Steven de Freitas got control of the ball when Tonny Heuving tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Jef Kroeze came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the FC Dord fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jef Kroeze couldn't finish the play. 40 minutes into the match, FC Uiteinde's goal looked a bit too open when Sipke Konterman came free, but Rob van Dartel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sjoerd Hofkamp to make the kick off. Sipke Konterman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 58th minute, Jef Kroeze left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Dord fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. In the 62nd minute, Tonny Heuving ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Steven de Freitas was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. In the 66th minute Sjoerd Hofkamp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Steven de Freitas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Huib Keupink struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Rob van Dartel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Dord. Huib Keupink recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sipke Konterman hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. In the 89th minute, Huib Keupink got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 90th minute, FC Dord's Jef Kroeze dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-3. FC Dord's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
