A very good chance for a goal. Fabiën Pepping made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maurits Kaspers in the 21st minute of play. In the 23rd minute, Wouter Jonker ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Menno van der Sar was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Richard Jonkman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bhutan Utd's supporters rose to their feet, but Richard Jonkman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fabiën Pepping breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ronny Kostermans, 35 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. If Wouter Jonker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wouter Jonker received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Menno van der Sar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Maurits Kaspers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Fabiën Pepping tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. They were losing 0-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Wouter Jonker to strike the kick off in the second half. Fabiën Pepping showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Richard Jonkman, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. After a defensive mix-up in Bhutan Utd's zone, Damien Perk stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Menno van der Sar came out of the goal and Damien Perk tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Wouter Jonker came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Deuteren SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wouter Jonker couldn't finish the play. After 57 minutes, Felix Pierewaaijer mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bhutan Utd and the Deuteren SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 57th match minute, Bhutan Utd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Pierewaaijer to maneuver through the defense. In the 60th minute, Wouter Jonker got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Damien Perk could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Menno van der Sar made a huge save. With his leg Menno van der Sar managed to avoid a goal in the 65thth minute, when Deuteren SC's Damien Perk fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 66th minute, Wouter Jonker got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wouter Jonker in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Menno van der Sar saved Bhutan Utd from getting behind. Menno van der Sar didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Wouter Jonker went, in the 71st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. After some careless play in the Bhutan Utd defense, Damien Perk kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Menno van der Sar. The Bhutan Utd fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Menno van der Sar should have stopped the shot. Bhutan Utd's Menno van der Sar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wouter Jonker in the 88th minute of play. Maurits Kaspers's late challenge caught a Deuteren SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Maurits Kaspers helped the player get up and apologised. In the 90th minute, Maurits Kaspers hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the final whistle sounded Deuteren SC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Bhutan Utd.
