Spectators: 6706 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1703, VIP seats: 3) jvhCF's Kurt Pool started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 16 minutes into the match, Geale Zondervan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcel Bosstraeten. jvhCF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Geale Zondervan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. In the 19th minute Eddy Pieters shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcel Bosstraeten saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 25 minutes into the match, jvhCF's goalkeeper Marcel Bosstraeten had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Geale Zondervan. If Eddy Pieters had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 29 played minutes jvhCF got a freekick which was hit by Ronald Klein. In the 32nd minute, Kurt Pool left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The jvhCF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. 39 minutes into the match, jvhCF's goalkeeper Marcel Bosstraeten had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Geale Zondervan. Anthony Fleur charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Anthony Fleur the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 40 played minutes jvhCF got a freekick which was hit by Anthony Fleur. Geale Zondervan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marcel Bosstraeten read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. Kurt Pool received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Peter Saarloos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eddy Pieters was the one to do the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Theo Oorschot in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcel Bosstraeten saved jvhCF from getting behind. After 54 minutes of play jvhCF's Anthony Fleur was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 54th match minute, jvhCF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anthony Fleur to maneuver through the defense. Geale Zondervan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ronald Klein might have been able to make a better finish in the 67th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Peter Saarloos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ronald Klein ran back to his position shaking his head. Peter Saarloos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ronald Klein in the 67th minute. Marcel Bosstraeten came out of the goal in the 69th minute to try and stop a shot by Wanrooy Excelsior's Eddy Pieters. But to his dismay, Eddy Pieters quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Marcel Bosstraeten showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eddy Pieters, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. In the 74th minute, Geale Zondervan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Wanrooy Excelsior fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. Peter Saarloos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ronald Klein in the 80th minute. Marcel Bosstraeten came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by Wanrooy Excelsior's Geale Zondervan. But to his dismay, Geale Zondervan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-1. Peter Saarloos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ronald Klein in the 91st minute. After having played for 92 minutes, Ronald Klein managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. jvhCF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ronald Klein was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. jvhCF's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
