Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Joop Sanders got the match started through his kick off. After 5 played minutes Eykereind S.C. got a freekick which was hit by Jelte Zwiers. In the 9th minute, Daniel Wagenaar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Daniel Wagenaar's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Edgard Baatenburg firmly grabbed it by the left post. 18 minutes into the match, Herbayum FC's goal looked a bit too open when Sven Klerk came free, but Edgard Baatenburg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sven Klerk in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Edgard Baatenburg saved Herbayum FC from getting behind. Joop Sanders received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Gert Jan Zondervan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Herbayum FC's goalkeeper Edgard Baatenburg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Daniel Wagenaars short, quick shot in the 36thth minute got Edgard Baatenburg to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Edgard Baatenburg made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Daniel Wagenaar sent off a good shot on target. Eykereind S.C.'s Sven Klerk got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Jelte Zwiers recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Sven Klerk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Daniel Wagenaar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgard Baatenburg having to interfere. Roel Arends kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. In the 58th minute of the match Bjorn Tijink shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Edgard Baatenburg showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Edgard Baatenburg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sven Klerk in the 65th minute of play. Daniel Wagenaar took the ball and in the 66 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Edgard Baatenburg. Edgard Baatenburg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Daniel Wagenaar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sven Klerk struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Edgard Baatenburg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Eykereind S.C.. After a defensive mix-up in Eykereind S.C.'s zone, Bob de Vries stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gert Jan Zondervan came out of the goal and Bob de Vries tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sven Klerk in the 77th minute of play forced Herbayum FC's goalkeeper Edgard Baatenburg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sven Klerk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgard Baatenburg having to interfere. Edgard Baatenburg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Wagenaar in the 82nd minute of the match. In the 84th match minute, Herbayum FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Otto Vorenkamp to maneuver through the defense. Edgard Baatenburg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sven Klerk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 91st minute, Sven Klerk made a precise shot to the right of Edgard Baatenburg. Herbayum FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. After having played for 95 minutes, Daniel Wagenaar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Eykereind S.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Wagenaar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sven Klerk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgard Baatenburg having to interfere.
