Spectators: 7075 (Terracing: 5575, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Andreas Borker got the match started through his kick off. If Corné Roewen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 2nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 5 minutes, Jurjen Heije mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Soestdijk Eendracht and the IJssel Boys FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 5th match minute, Soestdijk Eendracht was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jurjen Heije to maneuver through the defense. Kevin Wotte recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Kevin Wotte managed to get in a good position for a shot. IJssel Boys FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Kevin Wotte was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rein Kip breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, Soestdijk Eendracht's Rein Kip got control of the ball when Kevin Wotte tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Hendrik van Zijp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hendrik van Zijp sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 37th minute Hendrik van Zijp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlo Bekker saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 45th minute of the match Soestdijk Eendracht got a corner. IJssel Boys FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Oliver Mosselveld ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Oliver Mosselveld got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Carlo Bekker quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. If Hendrik van Zijp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Corné Roewen made the kick off in the second half. Freek Schrage's late challenge caught a Soestdijk Eendracht's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Freek Schrage helped the player get up and apologised. Carlo Bekker acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 54th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Lucas Veldhuis. Soestdijk Eendracht's Hendrik van Zijp came free and shot a quick shot against goal 58 minutes in the game, fortunately Carlo Bekker had problems saving as it came toward the left post. Carlo Bekker made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Hendrik van Zijp sent off a good shot on target. When Wim van Dijk fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored IJssel Boys FC's protests and gave Wim van Dijk a yellow card for diving instead. Wim van Dijk kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. If Corné Roewen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Kees Kauffeld had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With his leg Carlo Bekker managed to avoid a goal in the 76thth minute, when Soestdijk Eendracht's Corné Roewen fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 81st minute the ball was on its way in behind IJssel Boys FC's goalkeeper Carlo Bekker, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Carlo Bekker showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Corné Roewen, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Carlo Bekker made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Corné Roewen in the 86th minute of play. In the 96th match minute, Soestdijk Eendracht was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jurjen Heije to maneuver through the defense. The IJssel Boys FC support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
