Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Andreas Borker got the match started through his kick off. After 3 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for IJssel Boys FC! René Veldhuis kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Kevin Wotte received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Stefano Meijeringh tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 12th minute the ball was on its way in behind Esch V.V.'s goalkeeper Stefano Meijeringh, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 16 minutes into the match, IJssel Boys FC's goal looked a bit too open when Elco de Zee came free, but Carlo Bekker reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Kees Kauffeld fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored IJssel Boys FC's protests and gave Kees Kauffeld a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, IJssel Boys FC's Kees Kauffeld got a free kick in the 18th minute. Esch V.V.'s Barry Thole couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 19th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for IJssel Boys FC. In the 21st minute, Esch V.V.'s Elco de Zee ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Carlo Bekker. Carlo Bekker yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. After a rather tough play, IJssel Boys FC's Kees Kauffeld got a free kick in the 24th minute. Marcel Apothekers short, quick shot in the 29thth minute got Carlo Bekker to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Carlo Bekker took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elco de Zee, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 36th minute, Ed Cardinaal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Marcel Apotheker managed to get in a good position for a shot. Esch V.V.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Marcel Apotheker was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carlo Bekker breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 41st minute, Kenneth Dalman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Elco de Zee received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Carlo Bekker tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 48 minutes, René Veldhuis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Esch V.V. and the IJssel Boys FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of IJssel Boys FC booed when Esch V.V. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. René Veldhuis didn't get a good kick on the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Elco de Zee to make the kick off. The Esch V.V. fans' excitement grew in the 52nd match minute when Esch V.V.'s Marcel Apotheker looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Marcel Apotheker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Elco de Zee came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Esch V.V. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elco de Zee couldn't finish the play. After 63 minutes, Billy Zilverberg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Esch V.V. and the IJssel Boys FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 62nd minute, one of Esch V.V.:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Esch V.V.. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elco de Zee in the 69th minute of play forced IJssel Boys FC's goalkeeper Carlo Bekker to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Carlo Bekker showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elco de Zee in the 75th minute of the match. After 77 played minutes IJssel Boys FC got a freekick which was hit by Vincent Andriessen. A collision led to IJssel Boys FC getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Rogier de Jong hit a great ball. If Marcel Apotheker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vincent Andriessen's late challenge caught a Esch V.V.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vincent Andriessen helped the player get up and apologised. IJssel Boys FC's Carlo Bekker played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ed Cardinaal in the 88th minute of play. Carlo Bekker stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Elco de Zee's shot from short distance in the 91st minute. In the 92nd minute the ball was on its way in behind IJssel Boys FC's goalkeeper Carlo Bekker, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Carlo Bekker showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcel Apotheker in the 99th minute of the match. There was no doubt that Esch V.V. were the better team. Esch V.V.'s players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
