Spectators: 7345 (Terracing: 5583, Seating: 1712, VIP seats: 50) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Ralph Barels made the kick off which started today's match. After 6th play minutes Ralph Barels shot 1-0, a short shot which went by Gert Huiting and just under the crossbar into goal. Gert Huiting took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ralph Barels, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ralph Barels received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Gert Huiting tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Evert van der Sar came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by Gorsel FC's Arjen Abbekerk. But to his dismay, Arjen Abbekerk quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 29th minute, Gerwin Legdeur got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jan-Peter Kuypers's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Evert van der Sar read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. Ralph Barels fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gert Huiting having to interfere. Eelco Verbeek recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Ralph Barels came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Buikstede fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ralph Barels couldn't finish the play. Gorsel FC's Gert Huiting proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Gorsel FC from getting a goal against them. Eelco Verbeek struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Gert Huiting didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Buikstede. If Jan-Peter Kuypers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ralph Barels received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Gert Huiting tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Arjen Abbekerk made a kick off. After 54 minutes, Arjen Abbekerk mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gorsel FC and the Buikstede players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Gorsel FC's Arjen Abbekerk got a free kick in the 54th minute. After 62 played minutes Gorsel FC got a freekick which was hit by Felix Cramer. After having played for 63 minutes, Ralph Barels managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Buikstede's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ralph Barels was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gert Huiting took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ralph Barels, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Dirk Hovenkamp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 70 minutes into the match, Buikstede's Ralph Barels sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gert Huiting narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 73 minutes into the match, Gorsel FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ralph Barels came free, but Gert Huiting reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Buikstede's Arjen de Wolf got a free kick in the 74th minute. The supporters of Gorsel FC booed when Buikstede was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arjen de Wolf didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ralph Barels charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ralph Barels the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Evert van der Sar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arjen Abbekerk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 84 minutes into the match, Ralph Barels had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gert Huiting. Gorsel FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ralph Barels was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. In the 89th minute, Ralph Barels left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Buikstede fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. After a rather tough play, Gorsel FC's Hans Cranenburgh got a free kick in the 93rd minute. After 94 played minutes Jorn Breugel shot from long distance. At first the shot seemed to be simple for Gorsel FC's Gert Huiting to catch but Jorn Breugel was lucky. It became 4-1 after the goalkeeper had been careless and dropped the ball into goal. After having played for 97 minutes, Ralph Barels managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Buikstede's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ralph Barels was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. There was no doubt that Buikstede were the better team. Buikstede's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
