The audience was convinced that Ralf Ieberts's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Stefan Buring was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. Jack Schrage fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stefan Buring having to interfere. An unexpected shot in the 21st minute by Cees Pragt got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Pascal Dussel's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jelmer Luijpers read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. 37 minutes into the match, Echterbosch RKSV's goal looked a bit too open when Jack Schrage came free, but Stefan Buring reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Echterbosch RKSV's Tom Valentijn got a free kick in the 38th minute. Pascal Dussel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cees Pragt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Cees Pragt made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Vierhouten S.C. booed when Echterbosch RKSV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Casper van den Berg didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 58 played minutes Jack Schrage rounded Echterbosch RKSV's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Ralf Ieberts managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vierhouten S.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Ralf Ieberts was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Stefan Buring breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cees Pragt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jelmer Luijpers having to interfere. Ralf Ieberts received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Stefan Buring tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 75 minutes, Ralf Ieberts managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vierhouten S.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Ralf Ieberts was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 80th match minute, Vierhouten S.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ralf Ieberts to maneuver through the defense. In the 84thth minute of the game Jack Schrage who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Echterbosch RKSV's Stefan Buring was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jack Schrage's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Stefan Buring read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. Jelmer Luijpers stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pascal Dussel's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Echterbosch RKSV's zone, Jack Schrage stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Stefan Buring came out of the goal and Jack Schrage tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Echterbosch RKSV were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Vierhouten S.C. for a fine match.
