After a defensive mix-up in Echterbosch RKSV's zone, Edgardo Urtungo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Stefan Buring came out of the goal and Edgardo Urtungo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Garci Troconiz took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Stefan Buring. Stefan Buring dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. 36 minutes into the match, Echterbosch RKSV's goal looked a bit too open when Edgardo Urtungo came free, but Stefan Buring reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Garci Troconiz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stefan Buring took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Martien Sligter, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Echterbosch RKSV's Stefan Buring played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Garci Troconiz in the 48th minute of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Garci Troconiz to make the kick off. Saints Hemp Believers's supporters rose to their feet, but Edgardo Urtungo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Stefan Buring breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 70 minutes, Martien Sligter mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Saints Hemp Believers and the Echterbosch RKSV players grew even worse after the yellow card. Garci Troconiz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stefan Buring having to interfere. Stefan Buring made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edgardo Urtungo in the 79th minute.
