Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Henny Meulenbergh made the kick off which started today's match. Lennart Lyesen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 3rd minute of the match, but Jurjen Schoenmakers made a huge save. Rien Krol hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. Henny Meulenbergh might have been able to make a better finish in the 8th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pim Denneboom. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Henny Meulenbergh ran back to his position shaking his head. 9 minutes into the game, Marco Sándor was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ÖMER FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Altena the free kick. In the 9th match minute, ÖMER FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marco Sándor to maneuver through the defense. Rien Krol kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. ÖMER FC's Lennart Lyesen got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 13 played minutes ÖMER FC got a freekick which was hit by Matthijs Idema. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Henny Meulenbergh managed to get in a good position for a shot. Altena's supporters rose to their feet, but Henny Meulenbergh was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pim Denneboom breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Altena's Rien Krol got a free kick in the 18th minute. After 20 played minutes Altena got a freekick which was hit by Raymond Sloedingen. After 20 played minutes, ÖMER FC's Remond Ravenbergen shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jurjen Schoenmakers came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in ÖMER FC reached it. 23 minutes into the match, Altena's goal looked a bit too open when Gerald Wemers came free, but Jurjen Schoenmakers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Lennart Lyesen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 31st minute, Boudewijn Waterreus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jurjen Schoenmakers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gerald Wemers in the 36th minute of the match. If Raymond Sloedingen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Henny Meulenbergh blasted a shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pim Denneboom having to make a save. The supporters of ÖMER FC booed when Altena was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abraham Theissen didn't get a good kick on the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gerald Wemers to make the kick off. With 54 minutes on the clock, Marcus Bults commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 54th minute of the game. One of Altena:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of ÖMER FC:s goal. In the 60th minute Boudewijn Waterreus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jurjen Schoenmakers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 63rdth minute of the game Lennart Lyesen who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Altena's Jurjen Schoenmakers was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jurjen Schoenmakers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gerald Wemers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Henny Meulenbergh fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pim Denneboom having to interfere. Altena's attentive Raymond Sloedingen managed to snatch the ball when Huib Sanders made a throw-in in the 71st minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Altena's Robin Kosterman got a free kick in the 74th minute. Henny Meulenbergh fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pim Denneboom having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in ÖMER FC's zone, Robin Kosterman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pim Denneboom came out of the goal and Robin Kosterman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
