Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Oscar Saveneij in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tim Reiling prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Nooitgedacht VV's Sjoerd Iepstra got a free kick in the 27th minute. In the 28th minute, Laurens van Zonderen sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Nooitgedacht VV's Max Kramer didn't even have to move. After a defensive mix-up in Weerseloo's zone, Daniel Lodewijks stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tim Reiling came out of the goal and Daniel Lodewijks tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind Weerseloo's goalkeeper Tim Reiling, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Jan Kors came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Weerseloo fans jumped to their feet. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.
