Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jurgen Aelbrecht started the match with the kick off. Damian Parajewski's late challenge caught a Waal Eendracht's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Damian Parajewski helped the player get up and apologised. After 5 played minutes Koten got a freekick which was hit by Damian Parajewski. In the 9th minute the ball was on its way in behind Koten's goalkeeper Salvador Feria, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Koten's Roland Scheerhoorn got a free kick in the 12th minute. Kenneth Geerds showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marick Weggemans, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. After some careless play in the Waal Eendracht defense, Jurgen Aelbrecht kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kenneth Geerds. The Waal Eendracht fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kenneth Geerds should have stopped the shot. If Jurgen Aelbrecht had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 28 minutes into the match, Waal Eendracht's goal looked a bit too open when Marick Weggemans came free, but Kenneth Geerds reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kenneth Geerds showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gert Evans in the 30th minute of the match. In the 31st minute, Jurgen Aelbrecht left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Koten fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Marick Weggemans sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 40th minute, Marick Weggemans ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kenneth Geerds was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. After 45 played minutes Waal Eendracht got a freekick which was hit by Andy Klein. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Andy Klein made the kick off in the second half. Koten's Marick Weggemans came free and shot a quick shot against goal 54 minutes in the game, fortunately Kenneth Geerds had problems saving as it came toward the left post. Kenneth Geerds took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jurgen Aelbrecht, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Koten's Jurgen Aelbrecht got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Marick Weggemans received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Kenneth Geerds tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kenneth Geerds had great luck who in the 62ndth minute grab hold of the ball when Jurgen Aelbrecht from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. 65 minutes into the match, Jurgen Aelbrecht notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Waal Eendracht's Kenneth Geerds. Kenneth Geerds was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Kenneth Geerds stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jurgen Aelbrecht's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. Waal Eendracht's Kenneth Geerds played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jurgen Aelbrecht in the 69th minute of play. The Koten fans' excitement grew in the 71st match minute when Koten's Jurgen Aelbrecht looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-5 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 74th minute, Waal Eendracht's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Jurgen Aelbrecht fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Marick Weggemans who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 83rdth minute tested the skills of Kenneth Geerds when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Waal Eendracht's zone, Jurgen Aelbrecht stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kenneth Geerds came out of the goal and Jurgen Aelbrecht tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jurgen Aelbrecht took the ball and in the 87 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kenneth Geerds. Kenneth Geerds dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-6. Marick Weggemans sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jurgen Aelbrecht in the 96th minute of play forced Waal Eendracht's goalkeeper Kenneth Geerds to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Koten's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
