Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Andy Klein kicked off to start the match. 7 minutes into the game, Klaas Jan Harmens cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Kenneth Geerds was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jelle Kuypers took the ball and in the 13 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kenneth Geerds. Kenneth Geerds dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Klaas Jan Harmens took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kenneth Geerds. Serge Plagge scored 0-4 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kenneth Geerds, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Serge Plagge in the 29th minute of play forced Waal Eendracht's goalkeeper Kenneth Geerds to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 33 minutes into the game, Jef Baatenburg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Waal Eendracht's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Elkenraad the free kick. After a rather tough play, Waal Eendracht's Jef Baatenburg got a free kick in the 33rd minute. When Serge Plagge got free in front of the goal in the 34th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Kenneth Geerds was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. After 38 played minutes Waal Eendracht got a freekick which was hit by Olof Jonkman. Kenneth Geerds showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gido Assendelft in the 39th minute of the match. In the 39th minute, Andy Klein hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Elkenraad's Jelle Kuypers got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Serge Plagge struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Kenneth Geerds didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Elkenraad. The Waal Eendracht players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Elkenraad were winning 0-4.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Serge Plagge made a kick off. After having played for 51 minutes, Jelle Kuypers managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Elkenraad's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jelle Kuypers was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Serge Plagge had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Jelle Kuypers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 61st minute, Serge Plagge got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jelle Kuypers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kenneth Geerds having to interfere. Serge Plagge who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 64thth minute tested the skills of Kenneth Geerds when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Jelle Kuypers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Kenneth Geerds tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 73rd match minute, Waal Eendracht was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Geert Robben to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Waal Eendracht's zone, Gido Assendelft stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kenneth Geerds came out of the goal and Gido Assendelft tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Serge Plagge got in the 77th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Kenneth Geerds handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Waal Eendracht's zone, Jelle Kuypers stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kenneth Geerds came out of the goal and Jelle Kuypers tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Waal Eendracht's Kenneth Geerds got control of the ball when Serge Plagge tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 90 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Waal Eendracht! Maarten Zilverberg placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Kenneth Geerds took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Serge Plagge, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Serge Plagge could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Kenneth Geerds made a huge save. Serge Plagge sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Waal Eendracht fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Elkenraad were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
