A collision led to FC SURIBO getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Oliver Alberda hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oliver Alberda in the 18th minute of play forced Ewinkel's goalkeeper Lennart Maes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 22 minutes into the match, Demy Wilhelm notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of FC SURIBO's Cees Eising. Cees Eising was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 25 minutes, Demy Wilhelm mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ewinkel and the FC SURIBO players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Ewinkel getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Demy Wilhelm hit a great ball. In the 30th minute Donny de Wolf shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cees Eising saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FC SURIBO's Cees Eising played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Donny de Wolf in the 32nd minute of play. After 35 played minutes FC SURIBO got a freekick which was hit by Marco Evenhuis. Cees Eising stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Henny Jans's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. After some careless play in the FC SURIBO defense, Demy Wilhelm kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cees Eising. The FC SURIBO fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cees Eising should have stopped the shot. 44 minutes into the game, Donny de Wolf cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Cees Eising was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After having played for 48 minutes, Henny Jans managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ewinkel's supporters crossed their fingers, but Henny Jans was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The FC SURIBO players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ewinkel were winning 0-4.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Donny de Wolf was the one to do the kick off. Henny Janss short, quick shot in the 54thth minute got Cees Eising to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Henny Struik fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lennart Maes having to interfere. Pieter-Jan Homan hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. The supporters of Ewinkel booed when FC SURIBO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pieter-Jan Homan didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 66th minute, Demy Wilhelm hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Ewinkel's Arjen Lokin got a free kick in the 69th minute. Jurjen Veldkamp kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. 76 minutes into the match, Ewinkel's goal looked a bit too open when Robbie Terpstra came free, but Lennart Maes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The FC SURIBO fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cees Eising should have stopped the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Robbie Terpstra in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lennart Maes saved Ewinkel from getting behind. When the match was over Ewinkel could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than FC SURIBO throughout the match.
