Spectators: 6697 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1697, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Jhon Schalken took the kick off in the first half of the match. Eelco Das kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. A hard shot by Ricky Snijders from long distance, 6 minutes into the match, got Koen van Boxel's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Oscar Wilson lost his temper 11 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 18th minute, Daniel Staal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 19 minutes, Alexander Pruischer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Reezerveen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alexander Pruischer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Helmond Sport's Jacob Hofmeester got a free kick in the 20th minute. After 22 played minutes Reezerveen got a freekick which was hit by Geale Geraets. After 23 minutes, Vincent Vorenkamp mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Helmond Sport and the Reezerveen players grew even worse after the yellow card. Vincent Vorenkamp kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Reezerveen's zone, Jacob Hofmeester stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adriaan Oosting came out of the goal and Jacob Hofmeester tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 28 minutes into the match, Helmond Sport's goalkeeper Koen van Boxel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dick Evers. Gerrie van Bommel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Adriaan Oosting came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by Helmond Sport's Harry Griemink. But to his dismay, Harry Griemink quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 34th minute, Harry Griemink made a precise shot to the right of Adriaan Oosting. Reezerveen's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Gerrie van Bommel struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Adriaan Oosting didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Helmond Sport. Jacob Hofmeester might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Adriaan Oosting. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jacob Hofmeester ran back to his position shaking his head. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jacob Hofmeester in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Adriaan Oosting prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Dick Evers struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Koen van Boxel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Reezerveen. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alexander Pruischer stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. René Klasens sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Melvin Zuidema managed to get in a good position for a shot. Helmond Sport's supporters rose to their feet, but Melvin Zuidema was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adriaan Oosting breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Daniel Staal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Adriaan Oosting tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 59th minute, Gerrie van Bommel ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Adriaan Oosting was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gerrie van Bommel got free with Adriaan Oosting in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Reezerveen's Adriaan Oosting played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Staal in the 66th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Stef Alferink during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Helmond Sport booed when Reezerveen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stef Alferink didn't get a good kick on the ball. Helmond Sport's Harry Griemink managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Wilco de Vries in the 69 minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Gerrie van Bommel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Helmond Sport's supporters rose to their feet, but Gerrie van Bommel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adriaan Oosting breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Jhon Schalken had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 81st minute, Reezerveen's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Gerrie van Bommel fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Melvin Zuidema managed to get in a good position for a shot. Helmond Sport's supporters rose to their feet, but Melvin Zuidema was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adriaan Oosting breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 87th minute, Harry Griemink made a precise shot to the right of Adriaan Oosting. Reezerveen's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-5. Helmond Sport's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
