The supporters of Queen Eertje United booed when Roodewijk FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jelmer Slot didn't get a good kick on the ball. 9 minutes into the match, Willem Harding had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mitchell Melker. Queen Eertje United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Willem Harding was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Jelmer Slot's late challenge caught a Queen Eertje United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jelmer Slot helped the player get up and apologised. Mitchell Melker made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Willem Harding in the 15th minute of play. Bram Lindeman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maurits Kaspers, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Timmie Zegwaard recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Willem Harding's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mitchell Melker read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. When Queen Eertje United's Maurits Kaspers in the 34th minute got a chance for a shot 34th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Timmie Zegwaard scored 2-0 in the 38th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mitchell Melker, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 3-0 became the score in the 42nd minute when Timmie Zegwaard elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Roodewijk FC's Timmie Zegwaard got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Willem Harding to make the kick off. When Timmie Zegwaard came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Roodewijk FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Timmie Zegwaard couldn't finish the play. If Maurits Kaspers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Willem Harding fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mitchell Melker having to interfere. If Timmie Zegwaard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 73rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Queen Eertje United's goalkeeper Mitchell Melker, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Timmie Zegwaard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Queen Eertje United's zone, Willem Harding stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mitchell Melker came out of the goal and Willem Harding tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Timmie Zegwaard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 86th minute, Timmie Zegwaard got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Queen Eertje United's Mitchell Melker played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Willem Harding in the 88th minute of play. In the 90thth minute of the game Willem Harding who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Queen Eertje United's Mitchell Melker was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Willem Harding sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
