Izaak Heikens fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frits Pool having to interfere. Berry Evers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Frits Pool tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Laurens Doll's late challenge caught a Aaien's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Laurens Doll helped the player get up and apologised. In the 42nd match minute, Werthers Original SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Laurens Doll to maneuver through the defense. In the 44thth minute of the game Berry Evers who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Werthers Original SC's Frits Pool was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 45th minute, one of Aaien:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Aaien. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

After a rather tough play, Aaien's Humberto Theissen got a free kick in the 60th minute. Izaak Heikens received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Frits Pool tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Many of Aaien's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Aaien may have spent more time on the ball, but Werthers Original SC were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
