Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Berry Dol started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 3 minutes into the match, Izaak Heikens notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Broeksittard's Adriaan Jongsma. Adriaan Jongsma was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Humberto Theissen's late challenge caught a Broeksittard's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Humberto Theissen helped the player get up and apologised. After 6 played minutes Aaien got a freekick which was hit by Humberto Theissen. Bernard Meulman who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 18thth minute tested the skills of Harald Veenema when he managed to save the team from getting behind. A collision led to Aaien getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Gerjan Jol hit a great ball. Bernard Meulman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Harald Veenema having to interfere. Adriaan Jongsma took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Berry Evers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Berry Evers took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Adriaan Jongsma. Adriaan Jongsma dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. A hard shot 31 in the game by Bernard Meulman from a close distance when the talented Harald Veenema managed to make a qualified save. Aaien's players were relieved. Adriaan Jongsma stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Berry Evers's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. After 34 minutes of play, Aaien's Berry Evers made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Adriaan Jongsma was left in no man's land by his defense there! Broeksittard's Berry Dol got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Berry Dol received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Harald Veenema tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Berry Dol sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind Aaien's goalkeeper Harald Veenema, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Bernard Meulman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Harald Veenema tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Broeksittard players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Aaien were winning 1-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Berry Evers stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Peter Piening recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Broeksittard getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Henk-Jan Eschendaal hit a great ball. Adriaan Jongsma made an important save on a dangerous shot by Izaak Heikens in the 58th minute. Berry Dol sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aaien's Harald Veenema played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernard Meulman in the 64th minute of play. In the 71st minute Berry Dol shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Harald Veenema saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 71 played minutes Aaien got a freekick which was hit by Roderick Rijaard. 72 minutes into the game, Broeksittard's Bernard Meulman nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Harald Veenema made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. Harald Veenema showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernard Meulman in the 77th minute of the match. Berry Dol recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Berry Dol fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Harald Veenema having to interfere. Harald Veenema showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernard Meulman in the 84th minute of the match. Harald Veenema didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bernard Meulman went, in the 89th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-3 was the resulting score. Izaak Heikens sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
