Spectators: 7130 (Terracing: 5250, Seating: 1730, VIP seats: 150) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jacco Tinselboer started the match with the kick off. After a rather tough play, Port City X's Ed van As got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Jan van der Weerden charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jan van der Weerden the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 4th minute, Jan van der Weerden hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 5 minutes into the match, Bilboa Emphes's goalkeeper Dirk Stuifzand had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jacco Tinselboer. Port City X's Stijn Alberts got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 10th minute Rinus Eringa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jelle Harding saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 19 played minutes Stijn Alberts rounded Bilboa Emphes's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-0. If Rinus Eringa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 36 minutes into the match, Port City X's Frank Stam sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dirk Stuifzand narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jordy Nieuwendijk kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Rinus Eringa received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jelle Harding came out and tried to block the shot, but Rinus Eringa slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 53rd minute. After a rather tough play, Bilboa Emphes's Taco Kleinman got a free kick in the 62nd minute. In the 63rd minute, Jacco Tinselboer left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Port City X fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. In the 68th minute Jacco Tinselboer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dirk Stuifzand saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Frank Stam took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 72nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Dirk Stuifzand. Bilboa Emphes's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 76th minute, Jacco Tinselboer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Jan van der Weerden had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Bilboa Emphes players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Port City X from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
