With an extended leg and a bit of luck Stefan Rogaars prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 71st minute Henry Hanekamp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stefan Rogaars saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Henry Hanekamp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stefan Rogaars made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henry Hanekamp in the 76th minute of play. Henry Hanekamp fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stefan Rogaars having to interfere. If Henry Hanekamp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. Veldhoven FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Henry Hanekamp was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. In the 96th minute, Veldhoven FC's Oscar Baatenburg ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Dirk Engelaar. Dirk Engelaar yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. There was no doubt that DOS-WK were the better team. DOS-WK's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
