Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Teo van Dijk got the match started through his kick off. 6 minutes into the match, groningen's goal looked a bit too open when Jacco Koerts came free, but Hans-Cees Klap reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wanneperveen's defense didn't have a chance, in the 8th minute, when Teo van Dijk scored to the left of an out of position Riemer Molnar, making the score, 1-0. In the 12th minute, Henk Denneboom ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hans-Cees Klap was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. In the 15th minute Jacco Koerts shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hans-Cees Klap saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. groningen's Hans-Cees Klap played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Henk Denneboom in the 16th minute of play. In the 17th minute, Teo van Dijk ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Riemer Molnar was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. In the 28th minute of the match Fokke Haken shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hans-Cees Klap showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 34th minute Jacco Koerts shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hans-Cees Klap saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Yorrick Bos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 41 minutes into the match, groningen's goal looked a bit too open when Henk Denneboom came free, but Hans-Cees Klap reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 45th match minute, Wanneperveen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Floris Driessens to maneuver through the defense. After the first half Wanneperveen were leading 2-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Henk Denneboom made a kick off. In the 51st minute, Henk Denneboom fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Henk Denneboom in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hans-Cees Klap saved groningen from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henk Denneboom in the 59th minute of play forced groningen's goalkeeper Hans-Cees Klap to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 61 minutes into the match, groningen's goal looked a bit too open when Henk Denneboom came free, but Hans-Cees Klap reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 66 minutes into the match, groningen's goalkeeper Hans-Cees Klap had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jacco Koerts. 68 minutes into the match, groningen's goalkeeper Hans-Cees Klap had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jacco Koerts. In the 86th minute Henk Denneboom shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hans-Cees Klap saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Teo van Dijk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Riemer Molnar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jacco Koerts received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Hans-Cees Klap came out and tried to block the shot, but Jacco Koerts slotted it home off the left post making it 2-5 in the 90th minute. The Wanneperveen supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Wanneperveen would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
