In the 10th match minute, Reek S.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Theo Roorda to maneuver through the defense. Rafael Sanders came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by Zevenbergsche Boys's Meindert de Wolf. But to his dismay, Meindert de Wolf quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. After a rather tough play, Zevenbergsche Boys's Pierre Schalkwijk got a free kick in the 18th minute. Theo Roorda got his second yellow card in the match during the 20th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After a rather tough play, Reek S.C.'s Theo Roorda got a free kick in the 21st minute. Rafael Sanders showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Meindert de Wolf, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Iwan Schut sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Meindert de Wolf had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Zevenbergsche Boys booed when Reek S.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jan-Willem Zwiers didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rafael Sanders took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Meindert de Wolf, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Zevenbergsche Boys's zone, Rafael van der Leegte stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Thorbjørn Argart came out of the goal and Rafael van der Leegte tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Reek S.C. booed when Zevenbergsche Boys was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucjan Brudzisz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pierre Schalkwijk recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 44th minute, Pierre Schalkwijk got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Meindert de Wolf to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 54 minutes, Meindert de Wolf managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Zevenbergsche Boys's supporters crossed their fingers, but Meindert de Wolf was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Zevenbergsche Boys's Hans Castelen slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Rafael Sanders. That made the score 0-3 after 57 minutes of play. A collision led to Reek S.C. getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Matthijs Bouwens hit a great ball. Zevenbergsche Boys's Pierre Schalkwijk couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 67th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Reek S.C.. If Maurits Sandstra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Matthijs Bouwens was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 71 minutes into the match. The referee gave Zevenbergsche Boys a penalty, 73 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Pierre Schalkwijk, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Reek S.C.'s Rafael Sanders. 0-4. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hans Castelen in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rafael Sanders saved Reek S.C. from getting behind. Pierre Schalkwijk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hans Castelen in the 84th minute of play forced Reek S.C.'s goalkeeper Rafael Sanders to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Reek S.C.'s Rafael Sanders got control of the ball when Pierre Schalkwijk tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rafael Sanders showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pierre Schalkwijk, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Reek S.C.'s Rafael Sanders proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save Reek S.C. from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Reek S.C.'s Iwan Schut got a free kick in the 88th minute. 89 minutes into the match, Reek S.C.'s goalkeeper Rafael Sanders had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pierre Schalkwijk. Rafael Sanders stood somewhat misplaced when Meindert de Wolf came free in front of goal and shot 0-5 to the left of him in the 93 minute. Rafael Sanders showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maurits Sandstra in the 98th minute of the match. In the 99th minute, Pierre Schalkwijk left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Zevenbergsche Boys fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-6. When the final whistle sounded Zevenbergsche Boys left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Reek S.C..
