The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bertus van Asten helped the player get up and apologised. In the 13th minute, one of Gening:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Gening. Pierre Schalkwijk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 20thth minute of the game Meindert de Wolf who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gening's Stefan Heije was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hans Castelen got free with Stefan Heije in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 21stth minute of the game Meindert de Wolf who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gening's Stefan Heije was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Stefan Heije didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Zevenbergsche Boys's Hans Castelen shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 2-1 in the ordered_time% minute. If Meindert de Wolf had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lucjan Brudzisz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Stefan Heije tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thorbjørn Argart showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jurgen Tieleman, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. In the 40th minute, Meindert de Wolf got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Meindert de Wolf in the 42nd minute of play forced Gening's goalkeeper Stefan Heije to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Meindert de Wolf's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Stefan Heije was relentless in the 42nd minute of the game. Stefan Heije stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hans Castelen's shot from short distance in the 43rd minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Meindert de Wolf made a kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Meindert de Wolf had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Stefan Heije. Gening's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Meindert de Wolf was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. A collision led to Gening getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Franck Ommen hit a great ball. 60 minutes into the game, Lucjan Brudzisz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-1. Stefan Heije was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pierre Schalkwijk in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Stefan Heije prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Thorbjørn Argart came out of the goal in the 66th minute to try and stop a shot by Gening's Ricky Polak. But to his dismay, Ricky Polak quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-2. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Simon Heeringa during the 69th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Simon Heeringa kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. In the 72nd minute, Falco van Rooijen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 76th minute, Hans Castelen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Pierre Schalkwijk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gening's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Pierre Schalkwijk ran over to the corner to take the kick. Pierre Schalkwijk made a great header on Zevenbergsche Boys's corner, it was just that Gening's Stefan Heije managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 96th minute, Pierre Schalkwijk got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 98 minutes, Edward Lindeman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Zevenbergsche Boys and the Gening players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 98th match minute, Zevenbergsche Boys was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edward Lindeman to maneuver through the defense. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Zevenbergsche Boys fully deserved thier win.
