Spectators: 6716 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1716, VIP seats: 0) Co Wijker started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Niek Ronde showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Geert de Boer, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. The supporters of VVR Roermond booed when Kapolder was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marinus Meijeringh didn't get a good kick on the ball. Co Wijker got in the 10th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Niek Ronde handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. After having played for 12 minutes, Abraham Bemmel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. VVR Roermond's supporters crossed their fingers, but Abraham Bemmel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 14th minute, Stefan Lubbers got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hendrik Wilhelm showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stefan Lubbers in the 15th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Abraham Bemmel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Niek Ronde was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. With his leg Hendrik Wilhelm managed to avoid a goal in the 19thth minute, when Kapolder's Niels Zwiers fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 19th match minute, VVR Roermond was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hans Bok to maneuver through the defense. Co Wijker recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Abraham Bemmel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 28 minutes, Stefan Lubbers managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kapolder's supporters crossed their fingers, but Stefan Lubbers was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Abraham Bemmel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Niek Ronde having to interfere. In the 34th minute, Co Wijker got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Niek Ronde came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by VVR Roermond's Abraham Bemmel. But to his dismay, Abraham Bemmel quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. With a little luck, VVR Roermond's Hendrik Wilhelm got control of the ball when Niels Zwiers tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 47th minute Abraham Bemmel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Niek Ronde saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Niels Zwiers blasted a shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hendrik Wilhelm having to make a save. Kapolder's Niek Ronde played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Co Wijker in the 53rd minute of play. When the match clock showed 55 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Abraham Bemmel sped through Kapolder's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Niek Ronde. Hendrik Wilhelm took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stefan Lubbers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hans Bok hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Abraham Bemmel managed to get in a good position for a shot. VVR Roermond's supporters rose to their feet, but Abraham Bemmel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Niek Ronde breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Abraham Bemmel succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-4 in the 67th playminute. Hans Bok's late challenge caught a Kapolder's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hans Bok helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, VVR Roermond's Hans Bok got a free kick in the 69th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Abraham Bemmel got free with Niek Ronde in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Co Wijker came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the VVR Roermond fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Co Wijker couldn't finish the play. Stefan Lubbers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hendrik Wilhelm having to interfere. If Niels Zwiers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 86thth minute of the game Co Wijker who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kapolder's Niek Ronde was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Abraham Bemmel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Niek Ronde having to interfere. Co Wijker recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
