Damien Vonk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Serge Stekelenburg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Govert Otten in the 12th minute of play forced Roordahuizum's goalkeeper Koen Schmidt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Koen Schmidt didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 14th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. After 17 played minutes Govert Otten rounded Roordahuizum's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-0. Roordahuizum's Koen Schmidt proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Roordahuizum from getting a goal against them. In the 25th minute of the match, Eelco Melis got a very nice opportunity to score, but Koen Schmidt was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Koen Schmidt was a little too slow when Eelco Melis got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 25th minute. The score was now 3-0. In the 27th minute, Jan Visser hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 29 minutes of play, Roordahuizum's Martijn Pluym made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Serge Stekelenburg was left in no man's land by his defense there! Kranenbroek FC's Govert Otten was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 33rd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. The nice shot from Eelco Melis in the 38thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Koen Schmidt had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. Koen Schmidt was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Govert Otten showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 5-1 in the 39 minute of play. Roordahuizum's Koen Schmidt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Govert Otten in the 46th minute of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Govert Otten to strike the kick off in the second half. Serge Stekelenburg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Damien Vonk, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. In the 64th minute, Eelco Melis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Koen Schmidt didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eelco Melis went, in the 67th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-1 was the resulting score. The audience was convinced that Govert Otten's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Koen Schmidt was relentless in the 70th minute of the game. Roordahuizum's Koen Schmidt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eelco Melis in the 72nd minute of play. Martijn Pluym sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 76 minutes, Marinus Trenning mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kranenbroek FC and the Roordahuizum players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 76th match minute, Kranenbroek FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marinus Trenning to maneuver through the defense. Eelco Melis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Koen Schmidt having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Eelco Melis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kranenbroek FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Eelco Melis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Koen Schmidt breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Kranenbroek FC's zone, Damien Vonk stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Serge Stekelenburg came out of the goal and Damien Vonk tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Govert Otten fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Koen Schmidt having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Kranenbroek FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Roordahuizum had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
