Spectators: 7443 (Terracing: 5583, Seating: 1712, VIP seats: 148) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Iwan de Kort started the match with the kick off. Fernando Ihselmann in the 4thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Sebastiaan Ronde, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bart Steelman in the 8th minute of play forced Englum's goalkeeper Bjorn Appeldoorn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Valkenhuizen RKSV's Bart Steelman got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Bart Steelman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fernando Ihselmanns short, quick shot in the 17thth minute got Sebastiaan Ronde to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Sebastiaan Ronde made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Koen Wielaert in the 21st minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Koen Wielaert got free with Sebastiaan Ronde in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 23rd match minute, Valkenhuizen RKSV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pascall Meder to maneuver through the defense. Erben Eylens sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Bart Steelman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ron Schuurmans's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bjorn Appeldoorn read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. In the 37th minute, Ron Schuurmans left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Valkenhuizen RKSV fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Fernando Ihselmann made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 42ndth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Sebastiaan Ronde would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. Sebastiaan Ronde made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Fernando Ihselmann sent off a good shot on target. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Erben Eylens made a kick off. In the 53rd minute Koen Wielaert shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastiaan Ronde saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 55 minutes, Erben Eylens managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Valkenhuizen RKSV's supporters crossed their fingers, but Erben Eylens was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Englum's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Stefano Vondel 58 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-2. Elbert Cardinaal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sebastiaan Ronde having to interfere. Bart Steelman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bart Steelman had several of the Englum's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 75 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-3 score and a disappointed Bjorn Appeldoorn as he didn't even see the shot coming. After a rather tough play, Valkenhuizen RKSV's Bob Zeevenhoven got a free kick in the 80th minute. A collision led to Englum getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Elbert Cardinaal hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Englum's zone, Tonny Meyer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bjorn Appeldoorn came out of the goal and Tonny Meyer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ron Schuurmans charged in rather forcefully in the 96th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ron Schuurmans the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The Englum fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Valkenhuizen RKSV were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
