Spectators: 6704 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1704, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Stephan Zuidema made the kick off which started today's match. Fernando Alberda was out of position in the 3 minute of play, and Stephan Zuidema capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Stephan Zuidema really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. When Bas Ritsma came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Sluitersveld fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bas Ritsma couldn't finish the play. If Martijn Bakker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Riemer Middeljans in the 22nd minute of play forced Sluitersveld's goalkeeper Stef Holten to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 32 minutes into the match, Itens FC's Martijn Bakker sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Stef Holten narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Fernando Alberda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stephan Zuidema, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jasper Veen hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Alfred Kok recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Martijn Bakker fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stef Holten having to interfere. Fernando Alberda made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bas Ritsma in the 46th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The wind increased when Martijn Bakker made the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes Martijn Bakker rounded Sluitersveld's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-1. In the 63rd minute, Sluitersveld's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Riemer Middeljans fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Stef Holten made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Riemer Middeljans sent off a good shot on target. In the 70th minute Martijn Bakker shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stef Holten saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Riemer Middeljans had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Roel Helwig charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Roel Helwig the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 75th minute, one of Sluitersveld:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Sluitersveld. The referee gave Itens FC a penalty, 76 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Ivo Matthijs, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Sluitersveld's Stef Holten. 1-2. Sluitersveld's Bas Ritsma got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Itens FC's Fernando Alberda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bas Ritsma in the 87th minute of play. With a little luck, Sluitersveld's Stef Holten got control of the ball when Riemer Middeljans tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Itens FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
