To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vincent Rijkaard made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Riemer Middeljans in the 20th minute of play. If Sjaak Sibon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sjaak Sibon could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Fernando Alberda made a huge save. In the 28th minute, Leon Hardering reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Fernando Alberda. The goal made the score 1-0. Vincent Rijkaard showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Martijn Bakker, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Sjaak Sibon came free with the goalkeeper in the 36th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Fernando Alberda could save by the left post. When Moddergat HC's Leon Hardering in the 37th minute got a chance for a shot 37th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Sjaak Sibon's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fernando Alberda read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. When Itens FC's Martijn Bakker in the 46th minute got a chance for a shot 46th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Leon Hardering made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Moddergat HC's Billy Meulenbergh got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Leon Hardering in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fernando Alberda prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Martijn Bakker in the 64th minute of play forced Moddergat HC's goalkeeper Vincent Rijkaard to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fernando Alberda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sjaak Sibon, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Fernando Alberda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leon Hardering, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Itens FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fernando Alberda should have stopped the shot. If Riemer Middeljans had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The audience was convinced that Leon Hardering's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fernando Alberda was relentless in the 94th minute of the game. Moddergat HC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
