The Boskoop fans' excitement grew in the 44th match minute when Boskoop's Jim van der Weerden looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Edwin Horring showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jim van der Weerden in the 48th minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jim van der Weerden to make the kick off. Matthijs Aelbrecht fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tjeerd Wijker having to interfere. In the 54th minute Jens Bas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tjeerd Wijker saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edwin Horring showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jim van der Weerden, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute.
