The tension between the Casa Bonita and the Weite V.V. players grew even worse after the yellow card. 10 minutes into the game, Weite V.V.'s Alfred van der Vaart nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Twan de Zwaan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 13th minute, Cor Dekens ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Twan de Zwaan was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. After 16 played minutes Weite V.V. got a freekick which was hit by Bas Veldhuis. In the 22nd minute, Casa Bonita's Heiko Brinks dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. 25 minutes into the match, Casa Bonita's goal looked a bit too open when Cor Dekens came free, but Twan de Zwaan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 27 minutes into the match, Weite V.V.'s goalkeeper Werner de Hoop had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Geale Kuypers. Werner de Hoop made an important save on a dangerous shot by Geale Kuypers in the 29th minute. Heiko Brinks fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Werner de Hoop having to interfere. Werner de Hoop showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Heiko Brinks, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Robert Reitsma during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 33rd match minute, Weite V.V. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Robert Reitsma to maneuver through the defense. After 34 minutes of play, Casa Bonita's Heiko Brinks made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Werner de Hoop was left in no man's land by his defense there! Bas Veldhuis charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bas Veldhuis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 43 played minutes Weite V.V. got a freekick which was hit by Bas Veldhuis. Werner de Hoop made an important save on a dangerous shot by Geale Kuypers in the 44th minute. In the 46th match minute, Casa Bonita was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabiën Swart to maneuver through the defense. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alfred van der Vaart to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Casa Bonita's zone, Alfred van der Vaart stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Twan de Zwaan came out of the goal and Alfred van der Vaart tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 60th match minute, Weite V.V. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marnix Gulpen to maneuver through the defense. 64 minutes into the match, Weite V.V.'s goal looked a bit too open when Geale Kuypers came free, but Werner de Hoop reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cor Dekens might have been able to make a better finish in the 66th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Twan de Zwaan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cor Dekens ran back to his position shaking his head. Casa Bonita's Twan de Zwaan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfred van der Vaart in the 67th minute of play. 74 minutes into the match, Casa Bonita's goal looked a bit too open when Alfred van der Vaart came free, but Twan de Zwaan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. During the 76th minute of the match Bruno Steelman completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Bruno Steelman a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cor Dekens got free with Twan de Zwaan in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Weite V.V.'s Filip Popping got a free kick in the 80th minute. Twan de Zwaan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfred van der Vaart, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. After some careless play in the Weite V.V. defense, Geale Kuypers kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Werner de Hoop. The Weite V.V. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Werner de Hoop should have stopped the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cor Dekens got free with Twan de Zwaan in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Twan de Zwaan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfred van der Vaart, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Casa Bonita were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Weite V.V. for a fine match.
