When Castenray FC's Marcel Sparnaaij in the 3rd minute got a chance for a shot 3rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Gizmo United Gizzle's goalie prevented a goal. Frits Rekers hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. The supporters of Castenray FC booed when Gizmo United Gizzle was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stefan de Vries didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ferdinant Hof hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Douwe Hilkes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robin Veltman having to interfere. When Herbert Kuys came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Castenray FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Herbert Kuys couldn't finish the play. If Marcel Sparnaaij had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Robin Veltman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jurre Post in the 34th minute of play. Robin Veltman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcel Sparnaaij, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Arno Idelberger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ronny Pals, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marcel Sparnaaij to make the kick off. After 53 minutes Gizmo United Gizzle's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ferdinant Hof who took care of the corner kick. Jurre Post sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Douwe Hilkes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robin Veltman having to interfere. Jurre Post's late challenge caught a Gizmo United Gizzle's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jurre Post helped the player get up and apologised. In the 58th minute, Jurre Post hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 61 minutes of play, Gizmo United Gizzle's Alexander Hoiting made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Arno Idelberger was left in no man's land by his defense there! Robin Veltman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcel Sparnaaij in the 66th minute of the match. The supporters of Gizmo United Gizzle booed when Castenray FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arnout Holten didn't get a good kick on the ball. Castenray FC's Jurre Post got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Herbert Kuys in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Robin Veltman saved Gizmo United Gizzle from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Douwe Hilkes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Castenray FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Douwe Hilkes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Robin Veltman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Herbert Kuys's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Robin Veltman was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. Chants of Gizmo United Gizzle echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Castenray FC had held the ball for most of the match.
