Rafael Opdam showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oliver Baardmam, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Nijetrijne's defense didn't have a chance, in the 19th minute, when Rogier Ridder scored to the left of an out of position Rafael Opdam, making the score, 2-1. When the match had gone on for 23 minutes, Luc de Swart took a quick shot and it went in 3-1 without a chance for Rafael Opdam to make any attempt to save it. 26 minutes into the game, Oliver Baardmam was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. F.C. Stinsel's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Nijetrijne the free kick. The audience was convinced that Rogier Ridder's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rafael Opdam was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. Richard Westerink kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. If Rogier Ridder had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. Rafael Opdam tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Yuri Boeringe was the one to do the kick off. Yuri Boeringe charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Yuri Boeringe the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Rogier Ridder blasted a shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rafael Opdam having to make a save. Rafael Opdam stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rogier Ridder's shot from short distance in the 88th minute. Rogier Ridder fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rafael Opdam having to interfere. Oliver Baardmam sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. F.C. Stinsel had played much better football throughout.
