In the 8th minute, Jan Eylens got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fc Denhaag amateurs's Otto ten Rouwelaar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Fc Denhaag amateurs from getting a goal against them. The audience was convinced that Wim Adriaanse's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Otto ten Rouwelaar was relentless in the 10th minute of the game. Fernando Janssen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Niek Klompe in the 14th minute of play. When Mart Hoogendorp came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Zevenhuis fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mart Hoogendorp couldn't finish the play. Fc Denhaag amateurs's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Wim Adriaanse 17 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. 21 minutes into the match, Mart Hoogendorp had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Otto ten Rouwelaar. Fc Denhaag amateurs's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mart Hoogendorp was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Jan Eylens managed to get in a good position for a shot. Zevenhuis's supporters rose to their feet, but Jan Eylens was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Otto ten Rouwelaar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 27 minutes into the match, Fc Denhaag amateurs's goal looked a bit too open when Henk Maurits came free, but Otto ten Rouwelaar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zevenhuis's Fernando Janssen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jasper Graaff in the 28th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Douwe Peters in the 29th minute of play forced Zevenhuis's goalkeeper Fernando Janssen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jasper Graaff hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. A hard shot 34 in the game by Mart Hoogendorp from a close distance when the talented Otto ten Rouwelaar managed to make a qualified save. Fc Denhaag amateurs's players were relieved. With his leg Otto ten Rouwelaar managed to avoid a goal in the 37thth minute, when Zevenhuis's Mart Hoogendorp fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Henk Maurits blasted a shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Otto ten Rouwelaar having to make a save. In the 40th minute of the match, Wim Adriaanse tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Otto ten Rouwelaar saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The supporters of Fc Denhaag amateurs booed when Zevenhuis was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rogier van den Hoogen didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Fc Denhaag amateurs's Douwe Peters in the 43rd minute got a chance for a shot 43rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Zevenhuis's goalie prevented a goal. Fernando Janssen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Niek Klompe, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. 45 minutes into the game, Fc Denhaag amateurs's Lukas Meijering nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fernando Janssen made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Douwe Peters to make the kick off. Zevenhuis's Anton Oevermans got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Otto ten Rouwelaar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wim Adriaanse in the 57th minute of play. Fernando Janssen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Douwe Peters, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Fc Denhaag amateurs's Douwe Peters got a free kick in the 62nd minute. In the 64th minute, Ben Ranzijn hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Wim Adriaanse took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Otto ten Rouwelaar. Otto ten Rouwelaar dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. Otto ten Rouwelaar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jan Eylens in the 68th minute of the match. If Jordy Appel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 77thth minute of the game Wim Adriaanse who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Fc Denhaag amateurs's Otto ten Rouwelaar was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 78 minutes into the match, Jordy Appel had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Otto ten Rouwelaar. Fc Denhaag amateurs's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jordy Appel was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-1. Jordy Appel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Otto ten Rouwelaar having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wim Adriaanse in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Otto ten Rouwelaar saved Fc Denhaag amateurs from getting behind. Jordy Appel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Wim Adriaanse took the ball and in the 88 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Otto ten Rouwelaar. Otto ten Rouwelaar dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-1. 92 minutes into the game, Zevenhuis's Mart Hoogendorp nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Otto ten Rouwelaar made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 8-1. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Zevenhuis fully deserved thier win.
