Geale Schipper received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Dries Paauwe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Daniël Hollander during the 80th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 84th minute Riemer Gulpen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andreas Fleur saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 85 minutes into the game, one of Middenvoort HC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The goalkeeper, Dries Paauwe, was totally fooled by Broekerhaven's Marnix Evans, who 87 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Dries Paauwe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Geale Schipper in the 91st minute of play. Geale Schipper's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dries Paauwe read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. After 96 minutes of play, Broekerhaven's Elmar Tieleman made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dries Paauwe was left in no man's land by his defense there! The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Broekerhaven walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
