Spectators: 6721 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1711, VIP seats: 10) D-Team's Eddy Boschker started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 13 minutes into the game, D-Team's Stijn Dongen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Carlo Dowie made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eddy Boschker in the 16th minute of play forced Sythuizen's goalkeeper Carlo Dowie to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Carlo Dowie made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eddy Boschker in the 21st minute of play. D-Team's Eddy Boschker got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Sythuizen's Ronny Doren got a free kick in the 24th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eddy Boschker in the 25th minute of play forced Sythuizen's goalkeeper Carlo Dowie to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 26 played minutes Sythuizen got a freekick which was hit by Tom Roelfs. After some careless play in the D-Team defense, Ted Riemers kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Oliver Redan. The D-Team fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Oliver Redan should have stopped the shot. Carlo Dowie stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eddy Boschker's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. Stijn Dongen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Carlo Dowie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Eddy Boschker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 43rd minute, Gerrie Medgyesi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gerwin Dam stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eddy Boschker in the 51st minute of play forced Sythuizen's goalkeeper Carlo Dowie to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Oliver Redan showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Gerwin Dam charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gerwin Dam the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 57 played minutes Sythuizen got a freekick which was hit by Gerwin Dam. Eddy Boschkers short, quick shot in the 59thth minute got Carlo Dowie to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Eddy Boschker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 68th play minute Daniël Lange came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Carlo Dowie. 1-4. When the match had gone on for 72 minutes, Eddy Boschker put it in 1-5 from a short distance just to the right of Carlo Dowie. Sythuizen's Carlo Dowie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eddy Boschker in the 78th minute of play. Eddy Boschker sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eddy Boschker could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Carlo Dowie made a huge save. Daniël Lange recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With his leg Carlo Dowie managed to avoid a goal in the 96thth minute, when D-Team's Eddy Boschker fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. D-Team played a much better game than Sythuizen and deserved their victory. The Sythuizen players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
