The supporters of FC DYONISIANS booed when Pigeon City FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gert Baars didn't get a good kick on the ball. Anton Klaus showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marinus de Zaaijer, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marinus de Zaaijer in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Anton Klaus saved Pigeon City FC from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Pigeon City FC's zone, Marinus de Zaaijer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anton Klaus came out of the goal and Marinus de Zaaijer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Marinus de Zaaijer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anton Klaus having to interfere. If Bennie Bosma had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ruud Kruijs charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ruud Kruijs the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ruud Kruijs kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. After 62 played minutes FC DYONISIANS got a freekick which was hit by Geale Buring. Rogier Westerink might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Peter Mik. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. When the match clock showed 66 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Bennie Bosma sped through Pigeon City FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Anton Klaus. In the 70th minute Marinus de Zaaijer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anton Klaus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arjan Klok charged in rather forcefully in the 72nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down.
